deserved (vt)- entitled to by merit- warranted, worthy of- abuse of zobe for not reading her story
indignant-the feeling that a negative coment was undeserved
indignant-something zobe should not be feeling a) because the rude comments were totally deserved, and b) because she claims she has no emotions.

futile (adj)- having no useful result- trifling and frivolous- zobe trying to wriggle out of it by making pedantic points
